The 14th International Symposium on Automobile Transmission and Drive Technology (TMC2022) was grandly opened in Qingdao on August 8th, 2022. Focusing on the "double carbon" goal, this two-day conference will continue to deepen the discussion on hybrid technology, and further develop the electric drive system, including electric drive assembly, drive motor, power electronics and key components, and focus on key technologies such as high speed, high voltage, high integration and intelligence. At the same time, a forum on commercial vehicle power system and a forum on SiC power module at vehicle regulation level will be specially set up, with more than 80 speeches by industry leaders, business executives and experts. Three high-level interactive forums on hot issues, about 100 companies showed cutting-edge technologies and products and services, more than 1,400 professionals attended the conference and visited the exhibition, and the number of online live viewers exceeded 200,000.

At the opening ceremony, Zhao Lianfang, deputy secretary-general of China Automotive Engineering Society, on behalf of the sponsor China Automotive Engineering Society,as an explorer and promoter to carry out the mission of powersystem technology upgrading and carbon emission reduction, has conducted conference planning around hot issues and core technologies in the industry,  and kept improving the examination of lecture topics, speakers and abstracts, and has become an influential electric drive technology exchange platform in China.Transmission and drive system are the core components of automobiles, and also the key support for the electric transformation andlow-carbon development of the automobile industry. Various innovative technologies and products are constantly emerging, showing a gratifying situation of blooming flowers. However, it also faces many problems and challenges. As for how to strengthen the innovation drive and realize the development of automobile transmission industry, it is proposed to promote the coordinated development of energy-saving and new energy vehicles as a whole. Accelerate the green and low-carbon transformation of commercial vehicle power system;Qingdao Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government attach great importance to the development of the automobile industry.stressed that in the period of technological change, it is necessary to give full play to the role of rectifying the recalled product safety problems and guiding the product demand.The global automobile industry is undergoing a hundred years of change, and innovation is the key element in this period. Recall and innovation should coexist,because innovation may face unknown security risks, and recall can make up for some security risks that our enterprises may not have considered in product design manufacturing or innovation, but show at the end of market products.but it happens to be the responsible performance of our company, and it is our company that is constantly promoting the improvement of technological innovation. Finally, it also shared three issues that the industry should focus on at present:the new problems brought by the innovation and development of intelligent networked vehicles, the network and information security problems,and the maintainability of power batteries.
